Locked out or lost keys at a trailhead
Tiger, Squak and Cougar Mountain, Poo Poo Point and Lake Sammamish. We come to the lot and get you driving again.
What to do first
Check every pocket and pack pocket once more
And the ground around the driver door. Keys fall out when you change shoes or pull off a layer.
Call before your battery gets low
Coverage in some lots can be weak. Call while you have signal and battery, and stay near the car if you can.
Tell us the trailhead and the lot
Trailhead name, which lot, and the car: year, make, model and color. That is enough to find you.
Have ID ready
We confirm the car is yours before we open it or make a key. Registration in the glovebox counts once the car is open.
Trailheads we come to
Trailhead lots around Issaquah we drive to. Not on the list? Call anyway.
Tiger Mountain, High Point trailhead
Off I-90 at Exit 20
One of the busiest lots near Issaquah on weekends. Tell us whether you are in the main lot or parked along the access road.
Poo Poo Point, Chirico Trail
Issaquah-Hobart Road SE
Next to the paragliding landing field. Give us the lot name, since there are several pull-offs on that road.
Squak Mountain State Park
South of Issaquah, off SE May Valley Road
Say which entrance you used; the park is reached from more than one side.
Cougar Mountain, Red Town trailhead
Lakemont Blvd SE, near Exit 13
One of several Cougar Mountain lots. If you hiked from a different trailhead, tell us its name.
Lake Sammamish State Park
Off I-90 at Exit 15
Beach, boat launch and picnic lots. Tell us which lot and the nearest landmark.
State parks and state forest lots around Issaquah require a Discover Pass. That does not change anything for us, but keep it in mind for a return trip.
Lost the key, or locked it inside?
If the key is in the car, it is a lockout: we open the car with professional entry tools. If the key is somewhere on the trail, it is a lost-keys job: we make a new key at the car, including push-to-start fobs and smart keys. If you are not sure, call and we will work it out with you.
Trailhead questions
Can you make a new key at the trailhead if I lost mine on the trail?
Yes, for all major makes. We cut and program a new key at the car. For Tesla we handle lockouts only, not keys.
My keys are locked in the car at the trailhead. How fast can you come?
Call (425) 414-7552 and we will give you a realistic arrival estimate for your lot on the phone.
Do you reach gravel or forest-road lots?
Most trailhead lots, yes. If a lot is only reachable by a rough forest road, we will tell you on the call.
What if I am stuck on the I-90 shoulder?
Do not wait on the freeway shoulder. Get to a safe place and call the Washington State Patrol or 911 first.
Stuck at a trailhead?
Call with the trailhead name, the lot and your car. We take calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
