Car ignition repair in Issaquah
Key won’t turn, won’t come out, or the ignition is worn out. Fixed at the car.
An ignition that sticks, spins or refuses the key is a mechanical problem with the lock cylinder, and it usually gets worse with use. Forcing it is how keys break.
We diagnose the ignition at the car, then repair it or replace the cylinder and match it to a key, so you are not left with one key for the doors and another for the ignition unless you choose that.

Questions people ask
Why won’t my key turn in the ignition?
Common causes are a worn key, worn wafers inside the cylinder, or steering lock pressure. Try turning the wheel gently while turning the key. If that does not work, stop forcing it and call.
Can you replace the ignition without a tow?
In many cases, yes. The work is done at the car. We tell you on the call if your vehicle is an exception.
Will my old key work with a new ignition?
A new cylinder can often be set up to match your existing key. If not, we cut a key to match the new ignition and program it if needed.
